As BAS students, we are lucky. Located in the McKinnion building, we have our own secluded lounge space. The BAS lounge is a cozy and quiet spot on campus for students to drop in and have a place to study. The lounge is open during specific drop-in hours, hosted by our amazing BAS mentors. The mentor on duty can answer many questions about double counting between your specializations, recommend classes based on their experiences, and offer a helping hand with all things BAS.

Down below are this month's BAS lounge hours:

The BASSA lounge can be tricky to find. So, instead of going on a hunt through the maze that is the McKinnion building, here is a video, made by our Vice President of Events Kasia, to help you find your way!

Common questions asked during drop-in hours:

I'm not sure where to find my program/specialization requirements. Where can I look?

Take a look at the academic calendar! This is useful as provides a clear layout of what you need to graduate.

For the BAS requirements:

For your specialization requirements:

WebAdvisor is also another tool that can help you plan and tell you what fits in your program and what does not.

  • No more than 3.00 credits can be double counted (ex. six 0.5 credit courses)
  • Only 1.00 credit can be double counted across your minors
  • Only 1.00 credit can be double counted between your science core and science specialization
  • Only 1.00 credit can be double counted between your art core and art specialization.
  • NOTHING can be triple counted (i.e., no triple counting between a core and two minors)

Head to the website linked below and follow the steps! If you need more help, pop into one of the BAS lounge drop-in times!
